Numerex Announces Release of Next Gen FocalPoint Offender Tracking Application

Increasing Productivity of the Government Agencies and Officers We Serve

ATLANTA, July 14, 2016 (APCO 2016) — Numerex Corp (NASDAQ:NMRX), a leading provider of managed machine-to-machine (M2M) enterprise solutions enabling the Internet of Things (IoT), will promote the dynamic upgrade to the Numerex customer portal built on the FocalPoint™ platform at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida. The feature enhancements allow for a more intuitive software application that is user friendly, easy to learn and increases efficiency through customizable system configurations allowing for faster response to offenders who abscond or take flight.

The entire FocalPoint dashboard adds even more value to government agencies and officers by being more intuitive while working on multiple browsers and devices. Information regarding tracking points can be more refined with a variety of new filters, including only looking at points that are in alert, or only looking at points generated by GPS satellites. The device will then upload the tracking points immediately when a zone or geofence is crossed giving the agency near real time alerts.

Features and enhancements to FocalPoint include:

  • Added support for Safari, Chrome, and Firefox, in addition to Internet Explorer
  • Added support for Spanish, in addition to English
  • Allowing users to set a schedule on when they want to receive alerts based on time of day and day of the week
  • The ability to export and print a report of location history which can be used for evidence in court proceedings

Available to all new and existing customers, the FocalPoint customer management portal has been in beta use for several months for several customers, but will become the default management portal for all Numerex customers beginning August, 2016.
